Dannon Light & Fit Tiramisu Flavored Greek Nonfat Yogurt, Stop & Shop & Getting Healthy

“I participated in an Event and Blogger Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Dannon. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. All views and opinions are my own, and do not necessarily represent those of Dannon.”

It is no secret that I love a good snack. I am overweight but I'm working on it. I won a fitbit from work and since I don't have to take it off to charge it every night, I actually end up wearing it the next day to count my steps! Factor in cutting out soda and making sure I drink the recommended amount of water and I'm doing better every day.  The hardest part of getting healthy for me has been giving up my favorite snacks. Funfetti cupcakes, potato chips, a rich slice of chocolate cake... yum!

It's hard to choose better for you foods because so often, they don't taste nearly as good! Dannon has figured out the solution to my problem making delicious, Dannon® Light & Fit® Greek nonfat yogurt in one of my favorite flavors-- Tiramisu! It is so delicious and is a satisfying alternative to something loaded up with sugar and empty calories!

Dannon® Light & Fit® Tiramisu Flavored Greek nonfat yogurt has 12 grams of protein, 80 calories and 0% fat per 5.3 oz serving so it helps me stick to my new lifestyle while satisfying my sugar loving taste buds and shrinking away those daily temptations and cravings.

My local Stop & Shop was having a tasting of the new flavor so I had to try it out! I have always been hesitant of yogurt because I have such consistency issues with foods but I was super excited and impressed by the creamy deliciousness of Dannon Light & Fit Tiramisu Flavored Greek Nonfat Yogurt! It was the most perfect consistency-- I didn't have to shake it and mix before enjoying it-- it was perfect.

While at Stop & Shop, a nutritionist walked us through the store pointing out 'better for you' snack options. Stick to berries, leafy greens, and fresh produce.
Berries on my yogurt... yum!

She also reminded us to make sure we are eating all of the colors of the rainbow to make sure we're getting a full range of vitamins from our foods and to really look at labels while purchasing our foods.  Stop & Shop is making it even easier for those like me who struggle with making good choices, pre-cutting produce and offering both bulk and single serve portions which are great to grab on the go.

This label was for gluten free ciabatta rolls which qualifies as a "Healthy Idea" at Stop & Shop and the label lets you know as you are shopping!  This label also indicates that it is a gluten free product. It makes it a lot easier to "grab" things in the aisles with that type of information just at the ready.  Between the easy to read labels from Stop & Shop and the delicious treat like good for you snacks by Dannon, I am sure I'll be watching the pounds fall off! Now excuse me while I go indulge in some Tiramisu (yogurt!)!

Support The Children's Miracle Network with Pampers & Wal-Mart : GIVEAWAY!

I love when doing things that I normally would, or purchasing things I already planned on buying, help out really great causes. I was happily surprised after purchasing some Pampers diapers for the Little Man at Walmart to find out that Proctor and Gamble have pledged $20,000, alongside Wal-Mart, to the Children's Miracle Network. I was really excited to know that my Pampers purchase would help support the amazing work Children's Miracle Network is doing.

I love how easy this infographic makes it to see just how amazing Children's Miracle Network is.
I have blessed enough that I have never, nor had any family members, need the assistance of Children's Miracle Network, but there are thousands of stories of young children who are receiving care from this amazing organization.

Information about Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals:
·         Your support helps provide 32 million patient visits for 10 million kids every year
·         One in 10 kids in North America is treated by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year
·         Every day, member hospitals treat 16,000 children in emergency rooms
·         Every hour, member hospitals provide surgery for 97 children
·         U.S. members hospitals provided $3.4 billion in charity care in 2012

I am so excited to shop at Wal-Mart, knowing that my purchases will continue to support The Children's Miracle Network.  P&G is so excited about their partnership with Wal-Mart and Children's Miracle Network that they are giving away a $25 Wal-Mart gift card to one of my readers!

All you have to do is leave a comment: Which fact really stuck out to you? Contest will run until July 2nd, US residents only.

Getting Ready for Disney!

Disney is only 2 weeks away!! Ahhh!
There aren't words to talk about how excited I am and I can't even be crazy about because the princess still doesn't know we're going! Yey!
I've been getting a lot of the planning done behind the scenes but I just have to share!

1. Tinkerbell has been busy tucking away gifts to give the kids at Disney!
By shopping clearance at Disney Store and Target as well as the dollar store for small dolls, glow sticks, and other toys, I've been able to put aside a TON of little trinkets that can be given to the kids either in the morning as "Tinkerbell Gifts" or to keep them occupied as a surprise throughout the park! We're hoping that by spending the $30 on this stuff now, we'll save a TON in the parks!

2. Our Magic Bands are so fun!
To really customize each band, I ordered bands from DVC Central and The Happy Sticker Shop, as well as monograms for me and the girls from Happy Notes and More and Carolina Decals! I'll let you know how they hold up when we get back!

3. We ordered a stroller to use while we are there! Originally we planned on bringing our amazing Joovy VaryLight stroller, which converts from a single to a sit and stand but after talking to friends, we realized we absolutely need two seats that can recline for 2 kids to take naps in. I'm planning on bringing my lillebaby Airflow but having a double carriage will give us a space to have a sleeping girl and places for our "stuff" while the little man is riding high in the baby carrier.  We're renting from Kingdom Strollers as part of their Strollers and Grocery Program! A beautiful double stroller will be waiting for us at the hotel when we arrive and it's ours for the week!

We love the Strollers and Grocery Program because they'll deliver groceries to the room at the same time! We put in an order for diary and produce items like milk, yogurt, grapes, and bananas so that we have some delicious and nutritious food in the room as well! The best part is, if you order a stroller or crib form them, the grocery delivery is free! That's a $14 savings!

4. I bought some supplies to make some Disney shirts and I can't wait to share! I sneaked a bit on Instagram but I'll share on the blog this week! I'm also hoping to make some custom Minnie Mouse ears so I'm hoping they turn out well!

5. And we have a puppy/kitty/house sitter for the week! We've never had one before and have always boarded the dog but we just felt more comfortable with a house sitter this time around. No worries about the house being unprotected and the pup gets to stay in her own bed for the week!

It's getting so close and I can't wait!

Plus Sized Bathing Suits You Want To Wear!

Disney si quickly approaching and I am getting so excited, however, I'm not sure I'm thrilled about the hot weather and pools yet because that means bathing suits...

I've had a hate relationship with my bathing suits for the past 4 years.  My body hasn't seen a bikini since my honeymoon but I'd love to wear them again.  So many one pieces, especially plus-size one pieces, are super frumpy and I'm not really a frumpy person.  I am frugal though so paying $100+ on a bathing suit just isn't going to happen either...

I've been on the search for the perfect high waisted bikini lately and came across few awesome looking ones as well as a few fun looking one pieces!

I'm really loving the Ava and Viv line from target and I'll probably end up with one, or both!, of those, although I do really love the Navy one from Forever 21.... hmm.....

What do you think? Which is your favorite?

Goodbye #LillyforTarget, Hello Giveaway!

What a crazy 6 weeks this Lilly Pulitzer for Target collaboration has been!
I've written about the collab before and I was so excited for it, but honestly, I wasn't completely in love with it! Between the website shutting down the night of launch, the ebay flipper prices, and the complete absence of any product after the first day... I'd say it was not what anyone was expecting.

I'm happy to report that thanks to an amazing husband, I did end up with 3 dresses, 2 halter tops, a bag, and a bracelet!  Sunday was the last day of the collaboration and when I went to Target on Saturday, they happened to have a few of the Lilly for Target nail files hanging out at the front of the store!

I've heard so many horror stories about women trying to get thing and not being able to from cancelled orders to non-shipments from ebayers and I figured none of that would sit well with Lilly Pulitzer herself so in her name, I wanted to do a small #LP4T giveaway!

The winner will recieve three Lilly Pulitzer for Target nail files in Happy PLace, My Fans, and Nosie Posey, as well as two sets of Sallie Hansen Salon effects Nail Polish Strips!
They are so convenient to use and Lilly Pulitzer herself would love a pink polka dot french or full on confetti glitter!

Only open to US winners - sorry!
Use the form below. Winner will be notified on June 13th and will have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be chosen.

Good luck!

Good Infant Oral Care with Nuk!

I received product to facilitate my review, but all opinions are my own.

The Princess had her first dentist check up a couple weeks ago.  We were without dental insurance for so long and I was petrified that her teeth would be a mess but thankfully, since we push good brushing habits on her, her teeth are still perfect! We make brushing our teeth a family event and we all stand in the bathroom, brushing together.
I don't want her to pretend to brush her teeth I want her to know that it's a GOOD thing to brush!
Because we are always brushing, the little man has taken a liking to brushing as well! He only has 4 teeth but we need to keep them healthy too!

Nuk makes an amazing three sided toothbrush and a gum and tooth paste that is designed for infants 3 months and older!

The toothbrush is gentle on gums with no nylon bristles and is easy to grip for both mama and the little one who wants to do it themselves! The toothbrush can be used from 6-36 months, while the gum and toothpaste can be used from 3 months on.

My little guy likes to suck the paste right off the brush so I'm happy that it is Flouride Free and safe to swallow. Nuk's gum and tooth paste is also free of articifical dyes and is both dairy free and gluten free-- I had never even considered those two things in my toothpaste!
The natural tasting apple and banana flavor was surprisingly good and I think Tyler brushed his teeth 4 times the first time we tried them out!
